IMHO: The Best Drop Spots in Fortnite

I would like to call out two amazing landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 that you definitely need to check out. We'll be exploring the trailer park at 'Hitches and Ditches' and the 'Hidden Ruin' near Kapok Cove. One of these will gain you gold, and one will cost you some gold, but there is benefits to landing at both. Although I recommend checking out multiple POI’s, I will frequently alternate landing between these 2 spots. Let's dive right in!"

Hidden Ruin

First up, we have the 'Hidden Ruin' near Kapok Cove. This mystical location hides an ancient temple within its ruins and provides an exciting and unique landing experience. Located on the northwestern side of the island, this spot offers a mix of adventure and plentiful loot. Of the 2 drop spots the first one will add to your gold pile

The 'Hidden Ruin' is not as densely populated as some of the more popular landing spots, which means you'll have a bit more breathing room to collect loot and plan your strategy. However, don't be fooled by the tranquility of the area. Be prepared for potential encounters as players begin to rotate towards the safe zone. It's a balance of adventure and risk that can make for an exhilarating start to your match.

It will take you some time to find what you need to access the ruin. You will need an offering and solve a puzzle to access the chamber containing the riches. You can search chests to find a suitable weapon, or you can hope for the key perk to open a box containing a weapon that you don’t care to use and use that as an offering. This can be a little risky, but I find it best to do a little fishing to try and catch a Thermal Fish. There seems to be plenty of these this season, and I would much rather give up a fish to gain entry to the ruin than a prized weapon.

Hitches And Ditches

Now, let's move on to the trailer park at 'Hitches and Ditches.' Located in the northeastern part of the map, this spot is perfect for those looking to gather resources quickly and get a head start in the game. The trailer park offers plenty of chests, ammo crates, and material pickups, ensuring you'll have a solid loadout before engaging in any fights.

The great thing about 'Hitches and Ditches' is that it's not as popular as some of the other highly contested locations on the map. This means you'll have a better chance of gearing up without being overwhelmed by enemies right off the bat. So, if you're looking for a more relaxed early game experience with ample resources, the trailer park at 'Hitches and Ditches' is an excellent choice.

However, you will want to visit the NPI (Aura?) and spend some gold here. She sells an Epic Thermal DMR. If you are a fan of the DMR, you will want to pick that up. She also sells keys for 100 gold. There are 2 sets of lock boxes close by for easy access. For the low cost of a couple hundred gold, you will have yourself a nice loadout to start the game.

So, whether you prefer a more relaxed start or an exciting adventure, these two locations have something to offer. The trailer park at 'Hitches and Ditches' will provide you with ample resources and a solid loadout, while the 'Hidden Ruin' near Kapok Cove offers a unique and mystical experience. Remember, finding the perfect landing spot is just the beginning. Adapt, strategize, and aim for that Victory Royale!
